FIRST - “The Next Iron Chef” - Watch the remaining contestants battle it out to see which of these world-class chefs will join the likes of Bobby, Morimoto and Mario. Sunday 9PM on Food Network.

THEN - “Iron Chef America” - Seattle chef Daisley Gordon and Iron Chef Bobby Flay face off in Kitchen Stadium. Judges: Lee Schrager; Julie White; and Kenny Mayne. Sunday 10PM on Food Network.

Meet Mark this Weekend at the NYC Wine & Food Festival

Come meet Mark IN PERSON on Friday and Saturday in NYC!

Mark and Lacey will be on hand for the New York City Wine and Food Festival presented by Food Network and Food & Wine Magazine. Mark will be on-site at Pier 54 for the Grand Tasting exhibit from 11:30 to 3:00PM on Friday and 10:30 to 4:30PM on Saturday.

You may also run into the dancing duo Friday evening at one of the featured events; Meatpacking Uncorked, Burger Bash at the Tobacco Warehouse, or Midnight Music and Munchies at the City Winery.

Next Iron Chef Season 2 contestant Jose Garces recently did an interview with The Philadelphia City Paper’s MealTicket Blog. Among other things, he talked about Mark’s role as The Chairman of TNIC, airing on Food Network starting Sunday October 4th.

…the chairman’s routine is pretty funny, but when you have such high stakes on the line, you can’t help but take it very seriously. You definitely crack a smile and there is some humor to it, but the competitive nature [of the show] kept me pretty serious. Off-camera, he was very nice, very charming and I think he wanted to make all the competitors feel welcome and comfortable more than anything else. I could see myself having a beer with him.

Boys wish takes him to New York and set of Iron Chef

Well known to adult food aficionados around the country, TV chef Bobby Flay doesn’t usually count toddlers among his fan base. But 6-year-old Ben Ostertag of Camarillo has been one of Flay’s biggest fans for at least three years.

Recently Ben met his idol and attended a taping of “Iron Chef,” one of his favorite TV shows, when Make-A-Wish Foundation of the Tri-Counties flew him and his family to New York for a five-day stay.
